Well, after a long while, hi everyone.

I know u've got a lot of questions and I will try to give you some answers, but first of all let me tell u something about our plans.

First of all, we will try to re-activate the forum and translate the whole stuff of the German forum, e.g. the FAQ.
Our 'Lead Translator' Amaryll is already on it.

When it's finished, I'll talk to the other Administrators and we'll have a look at how we can handle the new updates for Freewar World 1. I hope to solve this problem this year.

This project, the English version of Freewar, is still alive, and we will not let it die!

Greetings, Restless.

Hi there :)

It's great hearing from you after that long time. I needn't updates either, but I think with updates a few players will join the english world. What's about ADs? I think without ads only german players will join, and that isn't the point

Great news. For those players following the german forum or http://derkaot.bplaced.net/serendipity/ it's really annoying that fw.com is so much behind; and much more that (despite continuos announcements) it wasn't developing at all. One of the reasons why I've quit some weeks ago. Seems as if I made the decision too fast and should create a new account xD

Thanks.

Sorry if I will ruin anyone's petty dreams with it, but:

http://forum.freewar.de/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=43684

For all who are able to read and understand the German language: Go ahead, read it.
For all, who are not able to read and understand the German language: Go ahead, use google translate (tho reverse direction), like your petty 'AD(ministrator)'s did when making this English freewar.

Short version:
*Terrible, terrible Translation
*senseless usage of high-toned words that is not necessary by any means
*incoherent translations
*DEnglisch over and over
*google-translate-esque translations all over

The fact that every single description has not been written by anyone who is actually able to write in English, is so obvious that even a blind man can see that.

Sorry, but imho this is NOT an English game. It's a DEnglish one, and that's a huge difference.

forthelichking out.

Yeah, forthelichking isn't happy. I can outline this of the german forum. ;)

For all the others.. yes, Freewar.com is still in the Beta. So work on it (everybody can join - that's the nice thing about freewar) and do some advertisment.

As I had already done on the German forums:
I will offer myself to counter-check the texts et cetera, and suggest new versions for the unfortunate wordings (which seem to be everywhere), so if you want me to help you improve this .. go ahead.

...long time no see.
An equal information some weeks earlier and I wouldn't have deleted my account. :(
But nearly a year without any hints about the future of freewar.com - both in german and english forums - and lots of forgotten players for a long time makes me upset.

Your account might yet exist, if you react quickly an Administrator might be able to restore it.
Have you remembered your account's ID?
If you did, check it out.
If an account named [YourName] ba[YourID] appears, your account still exists.

It's useless to contuine the translations. In german FW we create a new FAQ atm...that's why (and because my revisor is gone) I stopped translating the FAQ. I'm not sure how long it will take to complete the new FAQ, but nobody should translate the old one. :)
